selecting menus and combobox options

Hi, I don't know if this has to do with xfce but sometimes I click to open a menu or a combobox and move the mouse slightly before releasing the mouse button, when this happens I end up selecting an item on the menu accidently, which is annoying. Is there a way to stop this, to not select items when I release the mouse button the first time?

Re: selecting menus and combobox options

You can increase the drag-and-drop threshold in the mouse settings.

this is not actually what I want, It says "the number of pixels the pointer must move before a drag operation will start".

this is not a problem on Windows for example because context menu only appears when I release the mouse button, so I can't select an item accidentally

Re: selecting menus and combobox options

Mmm yeah I was thinking the application menu, which starts a drag.  But I think your problem is implemented inside the toolkit, not much we can do about that.
