Chrome window buttons left

Hi All,

I'm currently running Xubuntu and I am trying to get the Chrome/Chomium window buttons on the left while running compact mode.

Let me know if you can help.

Thanks!

Re: Chrome window buttons left

Not possible through Xfce, chrome does it's own window border drawing.

Re: Chrome window buttons left

but chrome is able to have the buttons on the left. In gnome chrome must get the information that it needs to put the buttons on the right or left from somewhere. If I could fake that XFCE that would be pretty sweet. But, I suppose that is a chrome issue not an XFCE issue.

Thank you very much for the response, it is much appreciated. smile

Re: Chrome window buttons left

If metacity support this we can do probably the same as well. Would be nice to know which window property is responsible for that.

Re: Chrome window buttons left

I have bug open at the Chromium project http://groups.google.com/a/chromium.org … cc79deae9b I'll post back if I hear anything. I know it is a pretty low priority thing and that's alright. I downloaded the Chromium code but it's all pretty much past me hehe.

Re: Chrome window buttons left

also note, at one point I was running metacity on xfce and with a theme that had the buttons on the left but the chrome buttons stayed on the right. I believe I was running metacity with "$ metacity --replace"
