[Solved] Getting rid of top panel

I would like the top panel to go away. But when I right click and choose the top panel and tell it to go away using the - button, both panels leave. Is there any way to get just the top panel to leave?
Thanks

Re: [Solved] Getting rid of top panel

It looks like the application crashes... If you run Xfce 4.8, please try to gather some information (backtrace and/or errors) and report a new bug.

Re: [Solved] Getting rid of top panel

I fixed the problem by removing panel 2.8.0. and installing 2.8.5
