XFCE Compsting & AWN

Hi folks,

Been doing some digging around the net and I have been unable to find an answer, so I thought, heck might as well get it from the horses mouth, so to speak.

How do I enable composting with Compiz in XFCE? There doesn't seem to be a decent how to anywhere, so far the only one I found was here: - http://fedora.rasmil.dk/blog/?p=268 but this is for Fedora and I'm using Mint.

Once I have composting with Compiz, can I then use AWN or will this bring in too many Gnome dependencies?

Cheers

EmyrB

Not entirely on-topic, but I'm curious why you'd want to use Compiz instead of XFWM. Is it just for AWN?
