Hi all, thought I'd throw a "me too" thread in here. Seems a lot of people are of the same mind lately. I don't even want to give Gnome 3 a shot. So here I am.
I run debian and have done so for countless years now.
I also use i3 at work for simplicity and speed. Even though my workstations are multi-head, multi-core, multi-gigs of ram behemoths.
So. Hi.

Hi. Xfce is not just for people who want something light. It's for people who want something that tastes good.

I'm a newcomer as well, but to all forms of Linux. After a little bit of guess-and-check, I'm settled on CrunchBang 10 Xfce.
It's light, but it's loads more fun to toy with than Unity or GNOME 3. I'm looking forward to asking a lot of questions around here, to say the least!

Heh, yep. XFCE tastes good!

Yupp, me too. Gnome 3 and Unity is out of the question as all I want is a user interface that doesn't get in the way on my way to the terminal emulator and browser, so xfce seems like the logical choice.
By the way, the only reason I signed up for the forum was so I could submit the lovely captch date -u +%jXfce|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g'
