When enabling the auto-hide of xfce4 panel, the auto hide does hide it, but it's hard to show them.
This happen in vertical panels, or in non-docked panels.
In Xfce WM, it is shown properly, but in Compiz, I kinda have to look for the "exact point" to show the panel.
Does any one know how to fix this?

I used to have a similar problem, back when I had the Wallpaper compiz plugin activated. Sometimes I'd be able to select the auto-hide panel easily, sometimes it just wouldn't want to come up.
I finally de-activated the wallpaper (but still using other compiz plugins) and I don't have these problems anymore. So much for a different background on each desktop.

same here.
looks like some compiz plugins intercept mouse events near edge of screen.
for example plugins which expect workspace switching, when you are dragging
some window to the edge, will intercepts events near edge where switching
is possible. (rotating 3d cube will by default intercepts mouse events near
left and right edges of screen).
I'm not sure where its bug of compiz of xfce, but I never noticed such behaviour
when I used gnome (can't verify right now).
