having trouble with internet connection

I have xubantu 4.6,when i configure my internet connection using pppoeconf i had got this result

RP-PPPoE plugin version 3.8p compiled against pppd 2.4.5

This problem occoured when one day i reboot my pc and didn't find network manager option available in panel

i cant access internet through linux,plz help any reply will be appreciated

This sounds more like an Ubuntu issue than an XFCE issue; have you asked at the Ubuntu forum?
