[Solved] Menu Accelerator Keys

I'm currently testing xfce as an alternative to gnome and it looks really nice. All my keyboard shortcuts worked in a few minutes (this is more complicated in gnome since you have to use the gnome config editor), nice future.

One question, the keyboard (underlined) accelerator keys (for example F for File in Terminal) will only be shown when ALT is pressed, how can i disable this so that the underline is always displayed ?

Thx

Re: [Solved] Menu Accelerator Keys

Unfortunately, that is GTK-theme specific. I personally hacked most of my GTK themes to allow this very thing. Unfortunately, I can't remember the exact name of the option in the gtkrc file. Try a couple different themes and see if that is the issue.

I agree, it would be nice if Xfce could override this choice and always show the accelerator keys, however.

gtk-auto-mnemonic=0 is the setting.

Re: [Solved] Menu Accelerator Keys

yes, thanks, that did it. I have not thought about it, of cause this is a gtk setting as xfce is gtk based, sorry for the noise. I used Clearlooks and i had already adjusted the base color to get a darker window background.
