I use a Linux app, Gourmet Recipe Manager. Under Gnome, it has a menu like: File, Edit, Tools, Help. Clicking on the File pulls down Open, Save, Import, and others. After installing Xfce, Gourmet Recipe Manager no longer has that Ribbon bar command line. How can I get it back? Or do I have the wrong style of Settings for Appearance? Display? Desktop? Window Manager?
Given Linus Torvald's use of Xfce I want to follow in his footsteps, so can someone help? I've had Xfce installed about 2 days.

In the most roundabout manner, I have learned that pressing the F-10 key "brings up" the missing menus. Well, that and pressing the L or R arrow keys to move from one menu to another. It's not proper, but I can live with it for now. Case closed.
