How to create those Git tag download links?

In the xfce git repository, they have download links next to the tag objects.

For example:

http://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/

you can see the tag lists and associated tarballs.

http://git.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/tag/?id=thunar-1.2.3

displays the download link also for a given tag.

How is this done with git?
