Hey folks,
A little exapansion on the problem:
Whenever I move the mouse pointer across minimized window, a black
border or frame is drawn the window. This becomes extremely annoying
when working in the terminal, and I've forgotten to 'park' the mouse pointer
away from the panel.
I've dug through Window Manager Settings, Window Manager Tweaks,
Desktop settings, other stuff.
Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,

It's configurable in the windows buttons plugins preferences. In Xubuntu this option is disabled by default.

More precisely : in the Window Buttons's properties (right click next to a minimized window) > Draw window frame when hovering a button
Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
