howto remove a session

hello

for some un-understandable reason i have got an heavily corrupted session
cannot launch anything from the panel does, not respond to <Ctrl-Alt-Backspace> or <Ctrl-Alt-Delete>

i have created a new one which works fine

i had like to remove the first one, so it does not appear in the splash screen

how can this be done?
