[Solved] .desktop complete attributes and syntax

Hello

Since i wrote an application, i'd like to write a .desktop file to launch it from the XFce menu.
I'd like to know :
- where can i find a complete list of the attributes (Name, Comment, Exec, Icon, ...)
- where can i find the correct syntaxes for these attributes. For exemple what are %F or %U found in Exec attribute ?

Thanks
Regards

Re: [Solved] .desktop complete attributes and syntax

As I understand, the .desktop files follow the standard of freedesktop.org . (in Xfce, other things like startup, autostart, follow this standard).
So about how works the .desktop file, search for "freedesktop desktop file". I got this : http://standards.freedesktop.org/deskto … ec/latest/

Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
