weird problem with xterm

Hello,

I'm having a strange problem with xterm. When I run it via Terminal (or any other terminal emulator) then I can see and type in non-english characters and everything works as expected. But when I run xterm via any other way like for example Application Finder, then support for non-english characters doesn't work.

My locale variables are being set in ~/.cshrc:
LANG=
LC_CTYPE=pl_PL.UTF-8
LC_COLLATE=pl_PL.UTF-8
LC_TIME=en_GB.UTF-8
LC_NUMERIC=en_GB.UTF-8
LC_MONETARY=en_GB.UTF-8
LC_MESSAGES=en_GB.UTF-8
LC_ALL=

Any ideas please?
