Hi,
I have ASUS A53U laptop (AMD E-350 APU)
I've just switched from KDE to Xfce because it is more lightweight. However I have a problem: the laptop doesn't wake after trying to lock screen/switch monitor off/suspend. So apparently none of the ACPI events are functioning properly. The screen does indeed go blank, but it will not wake up after that - I have to force-shutdown it by pressing the pwr button.
I've had this problem before with KDE and resolved it by adding acpi_sleep=s3_bios to the kernel line. I haven't tried removing it yet and seeing if it works - I'm waiting for more suggestions from you guys before I try anything else.
Regards
