[SOLVED] Xfce4-panel applets color and transparency

How to change the color of xfce4-panel applets, such as cpu monitor or network monitor? When I set a dark panel color, the applets are white.
Is their color can only be controlled via main theme?
How to make the panel and applets transparent?

You can change the CPU graph colours in its preferences, same for the network monitor's bars. The rest is controlled by the Gtk2 theme. Some themes actually override the network monitor colours.

Maybe you could try to find a Gtk theme for Xfce and see how the panel colours are set (if they are.) See http://wiki.xfce.org/howto/install_new_themes for links.
