Hi everyone,
Happy to participate here, I've been using xfce for several years and glad to say it performs very well!
I had a problem the other day, using xfce on Bodhi Linux. Before logging out, I clicked on the bottom panel, and it disappeared! And, I can't reactivate it in the settings menu.
Anyone able to help?
Thanks in advance to all here,
brian

Hi Nick,
good news: your advice worked! All the original settings were also there. (Good thing, because I didn't know my battery was low!)
Bad news: it looks like I have to run xfce4-panel everytime I log in!
Is there a way to "default" it on?

Start your session, start the panel then exit your session with the logout dialog by making sure the "Save session on logout" checkbox is checked in there. Next time you log out, don't forget to uncheck it.

Thanks, jeromeg! It worked! I wouldn't have imagined it was that easy to adjust.

Today, after unfortunate freeze and reboot, my panel "disappeared".
Going to: Settings / Panel
There, the "Output:" entry had: DP-1-1
After changing it to 'Automatic' the panel was well displayed.
