I want to hide the icons that I do not like in XFCE in the Notification area and will never appear.
Is there a mechanism for the suppression of the icon in systray on XFCE.
I can not find anything on this topic ..........

Right click on an empty spot in the notification area and open the properties dialog. The "Known applications" dialog will allow you to hide the icons you never want to see.

I tried "Known applications", but that in systray has a small arrow that allows icons to show the side again. I want to forbid them to appear as in Unity (Ubuntu). There are "systray-whitelist" ........... There must be a mechanism for XFCE, but for now I can not find it. Thanks to all who will reflect on this question.

See if those apps have some option to enable/disable the tray icon.

I'm looking method that when programs are not an option to hide the icon in systray. I'm sure there must be a mechanism for this. But I need help, I hope to find the answer together. However, XFCE is one of the best.

Why not disable them in the application itself? The reason this was not added is because most applications have an option to disable the tray icon.

Some applications such as Skype, no. And on the other hand such an option would give even more freedom at work. Thus systray will absolutely subordinated and will always see what you want.
