Bye bye xfrun4

Seems to have been replaced by appfinder. Have to say I prefer just the run dialogue with it's dropdown history - the appfinder is something different and I don't believe it improves the Alt+F2 experience.

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

What version are you using? I have both xfrun and appfinder with xfce 4.8 on Xubuntu Oneiric ...

BTW, if you like to use keyboard to launch commands, try kupfer ... I think you will like it :-)

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

In 4.8.6 xfrun and appfinder have been merged into one - this is in the Fedora development version. Yes I've tried kupfer before it's OK but I'm not mad about it.

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

Does it have tab completion?
I use almost exclusively gmrun because of that.

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

The xfrun4 + appfinder merge is in development for 4.10 (releases are 4.9.x). And if you see any problems in that version, don't whine here, but report it at bugzilla.xfce.org instead.

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

It's not a bug  - it's a comment on the direction it is taking.

Re: Bye bye xfrun4

That doesn't mean we don't care about opinions, you can file a request to make the small dialog to show history more like xfrun4 instead of only applications (it also shows custom command tho).
