[Solved] thunderbird covers itself with opera.

All,

This is just a minor anoyance, but I'd like to fix it if possible:

Say I'm running Tbird on desktop #1 and Opera (my defualt browser) on desktop #2. I'm looking at some email in Tbird, which has an HTML link in it. I click on the link. Tbird will then in effect grab the Opera icon from desktop #2 and move it over to desktop #1 such that the Tbird icon  is now hidden by the Opera icon.  If I want to go back to looking at the original email (but not close Opera), I have to go up to the pannel, and drag Opera back to desktop #2 where it should be. If an email has several links, I have to do this for every one of them and it's quite bothersome. It is the same if FF is my default browser. This didn't happen under Gnome or KDE, so it looks to be an Xfce specific thing.  I know I could just think in terms of switching windows but I much prefer thinking in terms of desktops. How can I get Tbird to open Opera while still leaving Opera on whatever desktop I put it on?

Any suggestions?

   xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -p /general/activate_action -s switch

That does it.
