[Solved] Blocks on the desktop.

DE Xfce 4 Desktop Environment version 4.6.2 (Xfce 4.6)
OS Fedora 14

Hard to explain without placing an screen shot in the post (I have not found a way to do that yet).  But I have three blocks that appear on the desktop. They are rectangles with a series of dots in them kinda like ...

          | ... |
          | ... |
          | ... |
          ----

Not very well drawn but that's how they look. I can move them around the desktop but for the moment I have moved them to the side as they are irritating. I cannot seem to find a way to remove them ...
Any one got any ideas what they are. Right click on them bring up a panel....customise desktop add new items quit etc .

Aren't they empty panels ? Right click on one of them and see what appears.

They are indeed empty panels which I have removed. Thanks for the feedback
