compose "Win" KEY + another key? and use it to show app menu?

version: xfce4.8
kernel version: 3.2.1-gentoo-r2

Hello.
I hope someone could help to make my thought come ture.
I want to compose my "Win" key with another one to build a shortcut
In fact, my "Win" Key is recognized by the kernel, but it can't be used like Ctrl or Alt to compose with another, how could I make it?
In addition, I would like to show the application menu in the panel by only pressing "win" key, like what it does in windows showing start menu. Is it realizable?

Thanks

Hey,

try to bind the key directly via

xfconf-query -c xfce4-keyboard-shortcuts -p /commands/custom/\<Super\>x -n -t string -s "xfce4-popup-applicationsmenu"

The app menu should be displayed now after pressing [Win]+X. You can change "x" to another key.
Binding the command only to the [Win] key did not work for me.

Cheers!

add it to .Xmodmap?
Could both work at the same time?
