Recover the Volume Control Slider.

I was creating and moving around the panel on the desktop and I have removed the sound control slider. I have found that I can add back in the QMIXER but all I want is the slider which is simple. What is the path to slider control so I can create a launcher... I am on fedora 14...

Also when I was on Gnome I had a system applet to manage and test the sound card. That seems to have disappeared under Xfce .... any ideas why?
