Hello, I have currently switched to xfce on my laptop and I love it!
I have one small issue however, which a long googling session could not find me the answer to; When I drag windows to the top/bottom of the screen the automatically fill the top/bottom half of the screen. I have looked trough all the settings, but cannot seem to find this one.
Running xfce 4.8 on archlinux.

That sounds like tiling support but that has been added in 4.10...?

Hm, that sounds weird. xfce4-about tells me I'm running xfce 4.8

Nick said that tiling support has been added to Xfce 4.10. It's still in testing phase ( http://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=6948 ).

I see the confusion now, I was a bit unclear in my question.
The problem is: xfce does this now, and I DONT want it to.

It's weird. I have also Arch linux up to date. I don't have this behavior nor any related option about tiling in Windows Manager or Windows Tweaks. What version of xfwm4 do you have ? Mine is 4.8.3-1. What repo do you use ? It sounds like you have a patched version of xfwm4, may be from AUR or testing repo ?
Edit: there is a package from AUR and archlinuxfr repo : xfwm4-tiling 4.8.3-1
Maybe you have this package installed instead of the one from extra repo ?

Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...

Unfortunately I had to leave the place where I keep that laptop yesterday, so I can't check. But I'm pretty sure I simply installed xfce with pacman -S xfce4

Yes, but it's as angstrom said. Arch has this special app that provides automatic tiling in Xfce so when you get the laptop back you'll have to remove that app.
