Really. The uniqueness of my setup makes a bug possible, so I thought I would ask.
OS: FreeBSD 9.0
xfce: 4.8 installed via pkg_add
clipman settings:
general: Sync selections;save on quit
actions: default (no idea what Bugz means)
tweaks: Reorder history; paste instantly=shift+insert
I use pine via ssh so the only way to paste into an email is with the shift key. pasting into pine seems to shift the status of the cap lock key. Worse the non alphabetic keys only yield the shifted values, so no typing 'shutdown -r now'. After a few times to verify this was repeatable I put that into a sticky-note. This is required because xorg 7.5 has a [FreeBSD] bug that disables switching to a vty console (e.g. ctrl-alt-f[1-8] does not work).
Switching paste instantly=none fixes the problem. My questions: this a bug, and am I the only one?
For FreeBSD people: I get the same results with and without HAL. e.g. you can't do that Dave

I didn't except such a bug to happen.
Can you file a bug here: https://bugzilla.xfce.org/enter_bug.cgi … man-plugin
