Thunar has no white space for right click - detailed view w/ full dirs

Hello everyone,

I prefer the detailed view, however I've noticed that when I have a directory that has a bunch of files in it, I have no white space where I can right click to open terminal/paste file/create new folder/create file.

Was that missed somehow? Is it by design? Is there something I can configure to make the white space appear?
