Problem with adding applets from xfce4-goodies package [solved]

Hey All,

I've compiled xfce 4.10 from source and most of the goodies I've installed from the Debian testing repo appear in the "Add new items" list but when I add anything, it appears in the panel but it is greyed out and I can't access any of the options.

Is there any easy solution to what has happened (ie: some libs in the wrong place?) or should I just remove the goodies package and compile from source?

never mind, compiled from source, works fine now. Not sure why it didn't work from the repo since it installed everything in the right place.
