Squeeze

I am running Xfce 4.8 on Debian Wheezy 64-bit.

Sometime in the last few upgrades, suddenly Squeeze (the archive manager, not the Debian distro) takes a long time to start up.

~$ time squeeze -v
Squeeze 0.2.3

real	2m6.301s
user	0m0.016s
sys	0m0.016s

Starting it from the terminal shows no errors, and I've done 'apt-get install --reinstall squeeze' to no avail.
I also downloaded Squeeze and compiled it from scratch; no configure errors, compiled and installed without a hitch, but still very slow to start up.

Anybody have any recommendations on how to start tracking this down?

Re: Squeeze

You could try strace, or maybe top.

Re: Squeeze

Ok, here's my strace ( I think I did it with strace -u, can't remember):

http://pastebin.com/XQFz9NJ8

It freezes somewhere around line 1228, where it tries to access 127.0.0.1 and times out.
After the timeout, it starts up.
Until I figure out what's going on, I've install Xarchiver for now...
