XFCE 4.8 Applications Menu

Have several XFCE 4.8 desktop evironments running in Scientific Linux 6.2, trying to sync the configuration between them. I have copied /etc/xdg/menus and /usr/share/applications between all four machines. Three of the machines all have the same menu structure, but one machine is not picking up the changes. Can anyone make a recommendation of where to look to get this issue resolved?

Re: XFCE 4.8 Applications Menu

Maybe there is something in the user directory. I think ~/.config/menus/ is the usual place.

Or ~/.local/share/applications.
