help window manager problem

Hey guys,

Yesterday I was using my BeagleBoard-xM happily configuring my LAMP server.
This morning I turn it on again to continue my work and the window manager seems to have crashed.  Here are the following symtoms.

1.  All of the windows open to the top left of the screen and cannot be moved;

2.  I can open the terminal emulator and it responds to both mouse and KB input however when when I move teh mouse off the terminal it changes to the thinking clock;

3.  The shortcut "Ctrl + Alt + Right/Left" no longer moves me to the different workspaces.

I think the window manager has crashed but I am not sure how to reset it and also not sure if that is the problem.

Any and all assistance would be appriciated.
