Access applications which are minimized to systray by keyboard

Hi there,

is it possible to somehow access (maximize) applications which are minimized to systray by keyboard?

For example my pidgin buddy list is usually minimized to systray.
When I want to see it, I have to click on its systray-icon. Well, I want to avoid to use the mouse wherever possible.
It would be nice if those applications appeared in the window menu.
