Hi All,
I'm using xfce 4.8 installed in Ubuntu 12.04. 12.04 is running in VirtualBox 4.1.18 with Win7 64bit as the host OS. Many of the xfce menu icons are generic rather than the specific icons for the app. When I installed xfce 4.8 into Ubuntu 11.10, the icons were all specific for the apps (no generic icons). The generic icons are also appearing in the bottom "shortcut" menu.
Any way to change it so the specific app icons appear?
I took a screenshot showing the generic icons, but I can't see any way to easily attach an image file. How do I attach an image to a post?
I'm very new to Ubuntu and I have very little knowledge of the command line. Thanks!
Kind Regards,
Advait (n00b)

If you need to see a screenshot let me know and I'll figure out some way to assign it a url.

How did you install Xfce into ubuntu 12.04?
Have you tried changing your icon theme via Settings Manager -> Appearance -> Icons?

Perfect! Problem solved. Thanks.
I downloaded and installed xfce using the Ubuntu Software Store gui. If I ever get some time I'll bite the bullett and teach myself how to use apt-get and packages and all that arcane complicated and scary command line stuff... :-D
Kind Regards,
