Spaces in default filename xfce4-screenshooter

I like the xfce4-screenshooter a lot (in particular the -r option), and I use it quite often. However, the one thing that annoys me is the default filename, which includes some spaces (I don't like spaces in my filenames, partially due to heavy terminal use). Apparently the date/time format in which the screenshot is saved depends on your locale settings (or so I read somewhere). Is there some setting I can change in order to avoid the spaces? I'd like to replace <space><hyphen><space> by <underscore>.
