I cloned the source of the xfce4-timer-plugin and changed it a little to my needs and after that compiled and installed it (make install) but it does not get listed in the plugins that I can add to the panel. What is missing?
Nevermind. It seems the $prefix had been wrong (/usr/local/share instead of /usr/share)
But another question: I added the option to have timers starting by just selecting them from the list instead of selecting them and than clicking "start timer". Should I upload this somewhere? Where?/How? (I also cleaned the code a little)

Hi pingu. You might open a bug report with the attached patch.
Or you might contact the last maintainer to apply it himself (at http://git.xfce.org/panel-plugins/xfce4 … lugin/log/ it seems it's Kemal Ilgar Eroglu but I don't know where's his email).
But maybe you better write on the Xfce or the Xfce4-dev mailing lists ( https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/ ) and ask them there so maybe you can have developer status, if you think that's the case ( http://wiki.xfce.org/dev/howto/git ).
