Panel - change icon size of some plugins

Hi,

is there a way of changing the size of the icon a plugin has in the panel? I use a two row panel and want some icons to occupy more than one row (main menu, launchers, ...). Essentially, i want to archieve the following:

I did the above setup in Xfce 4.8 using a custom ~/.gtkrc-2.0, but wonder if there is a native way in 4.10.
