Another convert to XFCE (and Mint)

Thanks to Gnome, Ubuntu etc Here I am with XFCE.
After 50 years with computers (started in 1962 on a Leo III)
(nearly) 30 with Microsoft (MSDOX 2.01)
20 with Windows (Windows 3.0)

I retired in 2004 and started playing with Linux but only seriously in 2007 with Ubuntu
I got rid of my last dedicated Windows system 2 years ago and now just run a virtual XP system (and (dual) boot Windows-7 every 3 months for the updates).

Like many others I saw no reason to treat my Desktop system (I5 4Gb  with 2 monitors) as a mobile phone and moved to Mint last year.
I tried Cinnamon and MATE still found them over-complicated.
After trying XFCE on Mint LMDE I was converted.

I set up the system as I want and it's a lot faster and slimmer.

I use Alacarte for Menu maintenance and am still working out how to use it.

Look forward to seeing what's going on

Iain
