Xubuntu 12.04 reload display mananger

what's the command for Xubuntu 12.04 to reload display manager?  On ubuntu 10.10 the command is: sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart and it works for Unity as sudo service lightdm restart.

I've tried on Xubuntu with sudo service lightdm restart and it hang on a black screen going no where.  I have to do a ctrl+alt+del to reboot it.  Any help? thanks!

Re: Xubuntu 12.04 reload display mananger

This is Xubuntu question so you will have better chance on their forum. (and lightdm is not a Xfce package)

Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...
