Multiple desktop backgrouds

1. Is this possible? (suppose not)
2. Were can I ask for this to be implemented as an enhancement?

I'm not sure I can answer this but first a question.  Do you want each workspace to have a different background?  This can be accomplished in compiz, wallpaper.  Are you talking about mulitple monitors?  If this then what graphics are you using?  I use ATI/AMD and have two monitors, each with a different background.  But it is the same background on each workspace.

You can also use wallpapoz.  I originally installed it so that each desktop could have a different background, but ended up having all of them use the same one, but changing at random.  You  can even have a different random list for each desktop if you want.
