yes i did find the icon over in the far right bottom corner.
log out did exit and shut down xfce.
hello
Question:
how to exit xfce.
after:
#$aptitude install xfce4=4.6.2
into:
GNU/Linux/Debian 6.0 Squeeze NetWork Install, a bare bones install as found here:
http://www.debian.org/CD/netinst/
Any GUI was intentionally, not installed.
In the non GUI environment:
#$startxfce4
While in xfce, i can not - and do not know how to - exit xfce4 and go directly back into the command line environment.
I have tried ctrl f1 through f7. no luck.
it would be nice to browse the #/etc directory in the Non GUI environment and find configure files for xfce.
with what is, in the xfce Terminal has very small font. difficult to work with.
the docs at:
http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/
seem to cover a install of xfce that has everything in place and tuned.
and i seem to be working with a raw install.
Thank you.

To exit, you just have to Logout (by using the Menu on the Panel or using the command xfce4-session-logout)
Xfce is NOT Xubuntu. Bugs in Xubuntu don't mean that Xfce is buggy ...

if i wanted to use ubuntu , i would not be using Debian network install in a bare bones OS.
