Hello all,
I'm running XFCE on Fedora 17 and I've been trying to get global menus installed in one form or another. Everything I've tried has failed, usually leading to recompiling a lot of old stuff.
Are there any up-to-date solutions for global menus under XFCE?

If you mean those OS/x kind of menus, maybe you have already tried this but anyways.
https://code.google.com/p/gnome2-globalmenu/
It has an option to compile with xfce panel support.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm looking for! Unfortunately, its autogen.sh complains about missing libgnome-menu libraries despite them being installed. I'm not quite sure how to resolve that.

Please post the exact error message. It's possible that your autogen.sh is looking for a specific version of the libraries.
