Yesterday I upgraded some package that were released on 2013-03-03 on the Xfce 4.10 packages PPA (https://launchpad.net/~xubuntu-dev/+archive/xfce-4.10) for Ubuntu 12.04.
After the restart the process xfdesktop consumes 100% CPU power and my desktop stays grey (no context menu or anything else works on the desktop). The menu bars show up as normal. Even a package reinstall does not solve the problem.
Does someone has a clue how to solve that problem or how to investigate further?

See https://forum.xfce.org/viewtopic.php?id=7793 if think it is the same thing.

Indeed. Thanks a lot.

I apologize for the inconvenience, a fix is being worked on and a new release will be out this week-end.
Git users can already try the git xfce-4.10 branch which should fix the issue.
Cheers,
Jérôme
