Xfce desktop corruption. [SOLVED - VBox prob]

SOLVED: I'm no longer a VBox user. END

VirtualBox 4.2.10
Host: WinXP3, 32-bit
Guest: Linux Mint 14, 64-bit + Xfce 4.10

I'm dead in the water.
Got any ideas what's wrong?

Symptoms:

• No window titlebars.

• Windows have southeast sizer only.

• No window borders.

• No wallpaper.

Don't run xfdesktop as root. Run it as a regular user.

You may want to clear your saved sessions cache (Settings Manager -> Session and Startup -> Session tab -> Clear saved sessions). Log out and back in again. If that doesn't work, then:
- log out
- go to first tty (Ctrl+Alt+F1)
- log in to text console
- clear sessions cache by deleting ~/.cache/sessions
- go back to gui console (Ctrl+Alt+F7)
- log back in
