Case (in)sensitive sorting in the file manager and file dialogs

Hello,

I see files are sorted case-insensitive in Thunar (which I like), but case-sensitive in "file open" dialogs from GTK applications such as Firefox. How do I fix that so that the file dialogs also sort using case-insensitive methods?

I'm using xfce-4.10_4 on FreeBSD 9.1.
