XFCE-Terminal and GVim window heights

When the XFCE terminal window is not maximised and I want to resize it vertically, I cannot get it to reach from the bottom of the top panel to the bottom of the screen. The same goes for GVim.

When I snap the terminal to the side of the screen, the terminal window also does not reach the bottom of the screen. It also takes slightly less than half the horizontal space. The same goes for GVim.

Is there anywhere where this can be fixed? I looked in dconf editor and Settings editor, but cannot find anything.

XFCE Version: 4.10
Distribution: Manjaro XFCE edition
Distribution Version: 0.8.5 (which has Plank dock at the bottom of the screen.)
