automount of removable devices in fedora 18

Bonjour,

I installed fedora 18 with xfce4 and automount of removable devices seems to not work: I can see an icon on the desktop but the device (usb stick/disk dvd...) is not mounted and for dvd is not played.

I have ticked all appropriate things in the config panel for removable devices, I have thunar-volman, gvfs*,... installed, volume manager is on in thunar pref...

What can I do else?
