Hello,
I am running a Debian Wheezy 7.1
$ uname -a
Linux asus 3.2.0-4-686-pae #1 SMP Debian 3.2.46-1+deb7u1 i686 GNU/Linux
$ xfdesktop --version
Ceci est xfdesktop version 4.8.3, sur Xfce 4.8.
Compilé avec GTK+ 2.24.9, lié à GTK+ 2.24.10 .
Options de compilation :
Menu du bureau: activé
Icônes du bureau : activé
Icônes de fichiers du bureau : activé
I would like to modify the background-color of each open terminal independently.
How can this be done ?
Thanks
Gustave

In xfce terminal you go to Edit - Preferences - Colors. There is an option to vary color of each terminal. Just noticed you are still on 4.8, I'm looking at 4.10 so it may be different.

In the version I got from Debian 7.1 the procedure that you propose reset the background-color for all terminals. I would like to have a different color for each terminal. Is that impossible with 4.8 version ?

I haven't seen 4.8 for a couple of years so can't remember what options it had. If there is no 'vary color for each terminal' option then it may not be possible.
4.8 is quite old, isn't an update to 4.10 available for you?

Thank you ozjd. I think I shall try to upgrade.
