Network panel app not showing connection

Just finished the installation of  XFCE 4.10 on Debian Sid....added the network monitor to the panel
but it says there is no connection. I checked preferences and everything appears to be
fine. How do I start looking for the problem ?

Thanks

Re: Network panel app not showing connection

Right Click on the icon, select "Properties".  Type the location of your Network Device, ie...eth0, wlan1, etc... as it is not there by default.  This is what worked for me.  Hope it helps you.
