According to Thunar documentation (http://docs.xfce.org/xfce/thunar/the-fi … ger-window) I should be able to create shortcuts by dragging folders from main pane to the shortcut pane. When I try to do that, they just slide back to the main pane when released. Any suggestions on how to get this working would be highly appreciated.
Thunar 1.6.3
XFCE 4.10.2
Debian Sid x86_64
Thanks!

Bump - should I file a bug report?

I can verify that it works here if I drag and drop to the Places section on the shortcut tab. If I drop on either the Devices or Network section, then it just slides back. Can you verify that you are dropping the folder in the Places section?
The other method is to right-click the folder and select Send To >> Side Pane. Can you try this method to see if the process at least works?

Hi ToZ,
Thanks for the tip. It provided the clue to solve the drag 'n drop. I did not have separate sections on the side pane. Going to View -> Side Pane I saw that Tree was checked. (Probably the default?) I checked Shortcuts and drag 'n drop now works. Send To also works.
Problem solved - Thanks!
