Dual monitors, Firefox Fullscreen ?

Hello,

I'm discovering xubuntu 14.04, I used to install ubuntu 12.04.

I'd like to have 2 monitors, just like if it was only 1.
No problem to configure extended desktop.

In fact it seems to be ok for some softwares, but not with firefox. When I want to put in in fullscreen, he goes on fullscreen only on one monitor.

Resolutions of both monitors are for example 1280x768, I'd like to have firefox with resolution 1280x1536.

On ubuntu 12.04, it used to work fine just with xorg.conf (thanks to unity?). With xubuntu, it doesn't work at all, even with a lot of tries with xrandr.

Any clues here ?

I think the feature you're looking for is xinerama.  I'd suggest starting with a Web Search to see how to configure it in Linux with your Video Card and Driver.

Re: Dual monitors, Firefox Fullscreen ?

Hi,

yeah we've tried a lot of things with xinerama / fake xinerama, but unfortunately never found a way.

For instance the only way we managed to success is to use xubuntu without desktop. Firefox is in extended Fullscreen now. Strange there isn't an easier way.

Glad you got it working, but I don't understand "xubuntu without desktop"?  Would you explain?

Thanks.
