Hi guys.
I'd like to have pulseaudio on my Xfce system, and i'd like to know, if there's any way to have xfce4-mixer in the panel control pavucontrol?
Like, when i click on the icon, it opens up pavucontrol?
Thanks.
running opensuse 13.1 with Xfce 4.10

Unfortunately, xfce4-mixer doesn't currently support pulseaudio. Here is a feature request to add that functionality.
In the meantime, you can use another applet like pnmixer that supports pulseaudio instead. Looks like its in the opensuse repositories. pnmixer works fine here for me.

Yes. Sits in the notification tray. Right-click brings up some options (mute/unmute, preferences, reload alsa ,quit) and left-click brings up a volume slider bar and a button to launch the Volume Control (in my case, configured to start pavucontrol). Other features include icon theme selection, hotkeys, and notifications.
(starting to sound like a sales pitch)

A good sales pitch it is
And i presume it's not too buggy for everyday use? (not that anything from Xfce feels buggy By far the most stable environment i've encountered )

Zero issues in over a year of use. Its just a small utility.
